Fiber Optic Communication & Security Infrastructure
Florida, USA
Project Overview
This project documents the design and installation of an underground single-mode fiber optic communication system connecting multiple buildings and structures across the WSA commercial campus. The system delivers high-bandwidth backbone connectivity, security camera coverage, and integrated access control to all key facility areas.
24-strand single-mode fiber optic cable was routed through 2-inch PVC underground conduit with multi-tube innerduct, pulled through concrete-set pull boxes at strategic intervals. At each building endpoint, fiber termination panels with SC-type connectors provide structured cross-connect points. Fiber-to-Ethernet media converters at each node enable PoE-powered IP surveillance cameras and card reader-based door access control. Riser diagrams and control/security system diagrams document the full communications and security architecture.
